Ahhh, the light went on. You're way ahead of most Americans. I don't recall ever having to learn the countries of Europe, our public education here lacks so much on the global level. It's as if we think our country is the only country. The bad part is, most kids don't know how many states we have and can't name them all. I'm not sure I've kept up either.
I'll never forget my first geography teacher at boarding school. On our first day, she asked us: "So, you kids familiar with Europe and its states, yet?" We all sort of looked at each other and sort of nodded. "Okay", she says, "sit apart now. Each of you gets a sheet of paper on which you draw Europe, then we'll compare your results".
Whoa. We SO failed!! (Apart from Italy. Everyone can do Italy :-p) But it was fun. We all had a good laugh and were ready to be taught big time after that...
Not sure if I could still do it now, though. Neither did I ever get all your states in one try - but I also never got taught properly. We're learning from the inside out. Canton, Switzerland, then outwards from there. I dropped out after the Mediterranean area :-).
"Dreadlocks on Caucasions"...seems a little random. And Washington's... richer hippies than Oregon. I swear, we must have some kind of reputation out here.

Nicely done, too.
