Kitten Weaning Tip of the Week

Never, under any circumstances, put wet cat food in the microwave to warm it up!

Not even for 15 seconds!

Smelly mess, eh?

So - what happened? It all exploded? And what's the difference between cat food and - food...?!

(I don't even own one, for sheer paranoia ;-).)

It did indeed, it must be full of fat. It was plastered everywhere inside there and the little fart wants nothing to do with wet food anyway - ICK!

I'm on orders to stop giving him the Phase 2 formula; when he's hungry I'm supposed to push his face into the wet food so he'll get the idea. I think he's stubborn as all get out. But I am too when I have to be.

The vet said they'd help me find him a good home. I'm taking them up on that.

Maybe you should weigh him every other day, while being stubborn ;-)?

(And - OOOH. the ICON !!! )

My little food scale doesn't work very well, but he's gone to the vet several times now and weighed each time. He started out at .67 lb and is now 1.43 lb. so I think he's doing okay.

Can't remember where I got the icon.
