Deb, physical therapist will be back on Thursday to discharge me from home health PT. Said there was no reason for them to be coming since I was ahead of the game. She also told me that I needed to be patient and just let myself heal, not to overdo the exercises.
And I've decided on my own that I'm cutting down on the Vicodin. It makes me sleepy so I think I can probably do okay with less. That's the point though, cut down till you don't need it at all.
See the doc about the edema tomorrow. I'm still swelling and am told for that you get off your feet except to get rid of edema you need to move and exercise. Great, one of those catch-22 issues. I'm going to ease into advocating for myself tomorrow and hope the doc will be able to suggest something to get the fluid OFF my legs (it's driving me nutty).
So I have 4 and a half more weeks of taking it easy. Except I've already reserved a table for the park's annual rummage sale. Sis will start coming so we can get through boxes, mark items and I can make some headway on clearing stuff out that I won't use and don't want.
I hope I haven't overextended myself here. I think Sis will find she's doing most of the grunt work and she might rebel against that. I fully expect my mid October to be able to walk without the aid of a walker though. At least that's the goal I've set with having to participate in a rummage sale.
